- 2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
Instructions
1.Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and allow it to heat up fully.
2. Cook the Ground Beef Mixture:
- In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the lean ground beef with a dab of margarine or butter.
- Crumble the ground beef as it cooks. Add the diced onions and stir.
- Continue cooking until the onions become translucent and the ground beef is fully browned.
3. Add the Corn and Seasoning:
- Stir the canned corn (with its liquid) into the ground beef mixture.
- Combine water, gravy mix, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well until the ingredients are coated in the gravy.
4. Assemble the Casserole:
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the ground beef mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly. Set aside.
5. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- In a medium saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of water and 2 tbsp margarine to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the instant mashed potato mix and milk.

- Evenly layer the mashed potatoes over the ground beef mixture in the baking dish.
- Place the frozen tater tots in a single, even layer over the mashed potatoes.
7. Bake the Casserole:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
8. Add the Cheese:
- Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend over the tater tots.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 4-6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
