Ingredients

Scale

For the Meat Sauce:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce

For the Layers:

  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

1. Prepare the Meat Sauce:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Add the chopped onion and garlic, stirring occasionally until fragrant.
  3. Season the beef mixture with salt and black pepper. Stir in the marinara sauce and Alfredo sauce, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 10 minutes to blend the flavors.

2. Cook the Lasagna Noodles:

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the lasagna noodles until al dente, according to the package instructions. Drain the noodles and lay them flat on parchment paper to prevent sticking.

3. Assemble the Lasagna:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of the dish.
  3. Place three lasagna noodles over the sauce, ensuring they slightly overlap.
  4. Add a generous layer of meat sauce, followed by shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers twice more, finishing with a layer of cheese on top. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly over the final cheese layer.

4. Bake the Lasagna:

  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

5. Cool and Serve:

  1. Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to help the layers set. Serve warm and garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.
