Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta

For the Shrimp and Steak

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Alfredo Sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish

  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

1. Cook the Fettuccine

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.

2. Prepare the Shrimp and Steak

  • Season the shrimp and steak with Cajun seasoning, ensuring an even coat.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the steak slices for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Set aside with the steak.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly to combine.
  • Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine Everything

  • Return the cooked fettuccine, steak, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the Alfredo sauce.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.

5. Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer the pasta to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh, vibrant finish.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the rich, creamy, and spicy flavors

  • Protein Options: This recipe works well with other proteins like chicken or tofu for a variation.
  • Pasta Water: Save some pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.
  • Cheese Quality: For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-shredded cheese.
